Forestburg Parks & Gardens
• A WorldWeb.com Travel Guide to Parks & Gardens in Forestburg, Alberta.
This provincial park was established in 1962 at the junction of Battle River and Big Knife Creek. It was an important area to the plains Indians and also home to a local character, "One-eyed" Nelson, who historically had a moonshine operation at the site. The Battle River, which winds through the park, is good for boating.
